Keep Smiling Adventures

A cyclist riding a mountain bike on a dirt trail in a mountainous landscape during daytime, with cloudy sky and rolling hills in the background.

My Name is Josh and contrary to popular belief, I am not always smiling. The name really stems from when things are getting rough out there on the trails, to remind myself that a simple smile can and often gets you through the hard times.

The idea

I love nothing more than just being outside on my bike from an epic ride around the coast of Britain or a gentle pedal along the canal, pair that with sleeping under the stars in my tent and feeling alone in nature, I donโ€™t think you can beat it. I also love to film my adventures and hopefully inspire you to step outside and see the world how I see it, but if being outside isnโ€™t your thing thatโ€™s cool, grab yourself a brew and sit back and enjoy the adventures in comfort.

Frequently asked questions

  • I donโ€™t, I donโ€™t use one, but you probably should, I donโ€™t use one because I am warm and comfortable without one. I sleep fine without one. But it is true you lose heat from the ground, so if you want to stay warm at night itโ€™s probably best to use one.

  • I currently ride three bikes, the big MTB is the Bombtrack beyond plus (itโ€™s got 2.6โ€ tyres now) So itโ€™s not really a plus bike any more. The Gravel bike is the titanium Sonder Camino 1st Gen and the newest bike to the fleet in a Bombtrack audax which is set up for road riding.

  • Iโ€™m not sponsored by anyone, I just like pasties and I donโ€™t live in Cornwall so Ginsters in the most readily available pasty I can get.
